Why Zumba?

I started my journey with Zumba in 2006 (at a 174 lbs) and saw it as literally the ONLY reason to get to the gym. I didn't even realize it was working, I just knew I was having a good time. Two years later I got certified and today (26 lbs lighter) I inspire people to not only come to my class but to have an active lifestyle.  The only way anyone will get to the gym is by finding something they like to do. For me it was Zumba, then it was Spin, then it was lifting.....do you see the cycle?

Once you get started on one thing, it's easy to move on to try something a little harder. For now, just work on step one - finding something that works - maybe Zumba?


I wasn't always this awesome...

I've struggled with my weight most of my life. Despite being overweight on and off, I've tried to maintain active.  Sadly sticking to a diet is always the hard part. Just thinking of a hot juicy burger with crispy bacon, lathered in cheese and smothered in.....well you get it.  I can't say it enough -FIND SOMETHING YOU LIKE TO DO AND ACTUALLY GO DO IT.

If you need help finding resources or creating a plan, contact me and I'll be glad to help. I've gone from a whopping 174 lbs to 148 lbs. No it's not easy, it took a lot of work, and everyday is a challenge, but as they say - "No pain, no gain." Check out the resources page and my blog for things that have worked for me.
